It holds no building, employs no staff, and has acquired nothing; its collection remains permanently installed where it was found, on public display, maintained by the city itself. The museum's remaining places of eight encounters or more — Blackheath (19), Gordon (18), Kinglake West (16), Nimbin (12), Mount Ousley (9), San Pellegrino Terme (27), Vizzola Ticino (22), Marina di Carrara (22), San Gimignano (22), Komatsu (10), Grandola (34), Setubal (16), Baiona (20), Oia (11)… — are annexes in fact but not yet in paperwork; each is listed under its country. The nomenclature committee proceeds at its own pace, and thanks them for their patience. Sites of fewer than eight encounters are administered as field stations. The museum also maintains a standing research programme in the eighth degree — the places lying at 8°N, 8°S, 8°E, and 8°W — lately anchored by its first resident annex, in Zürich, with further holdings at Comporta and, regrettably, an airport.
